The Carrie L. Williams Pink Scholarship fund is designed to aid a minority high school senior who is interested in obtaining a 2 or 4-year degree. This scholarship will be presented to one student who has excelled in their high school and community alike. The Carrie L. Williams Pink Scholarship will be awarded in the spring of 2017. It is our desire that this scholarship will assist a deserving young person to fulfill his/her dreams. It is also our hope that this scholarship will make a difference amongst a new generation of minority leaders.

The Carrie L. Williams Pink scholarship fund is accepting applications for the 2017 scholarship program. All Augusta-Richmond county and surrounding area residents graduating from any local public or private high school may apply for this $1000 scholarship if they are planning to attend a 4 year college/university, 2 year college or vocational/technical school. Students of all family income levels are encouraged to apply.

To be considered for the Carrie L. Williams Pink Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

1. Plan on attaining a 2 or 4 year degree

2. 3.5 GPA

3. Write a one page (250 word) essay on how breast cancer has directly or indirectly impacted your life and how you plan to succeed despite this challenge

4. Be of racial minority

Remember, application materials must be submitted before or on February 28th 2017 to be considered.
